Liquid Riot bartender Hector Magaña is in the running for Best Bartender in the 2018 Best of Portland. Follow this link and nominate Hector. With enough nominations, he will be named a finalist.
In other Hector news… he recently won our internal bartender challenge. His winning concoction, Bruja Linda (pictured below), translates to “Lovely Witch” and is made with Liquid Riot Single Malt Whiskey, Mezcal, Strega, lime, ginger, and pomegranate clove syrup. Winning earns Hector bragging rights and Bruja Linda is on our 2018 summer drink list. The prize package also included a bottle of Saxual Revolution.
Hector joined us two years ago as a bar back. He is multitalented and has a strong passion for art. Some of his favorite cocktail components are pineapple, Mezcal and a little heat. He’s a California kid and we are very lucky to have him!
