This is probably the biggest thing happening in Portland, Maine, Sat., Sep 1. And we mean not in the brewing community, in the whole darn town.
BLUSHING STAR barrel aged lager with peaches? returns Saturday, at Noon
Blushing Star is brewed with rice, matured in oak for 6-9 months with Brettanomyces Claussenii. After proper aging, this beer is transferred to a fruiting tank with 500 pounds of Blushing Star peaches, a special white peach variety sourced from Acton, Maine’s Kelly Orchards.
Bright, tart, clean, and refreshing and 6.5% abv. Available in the brewery store, when doors open at noon.

Bonfire Spirit starts life as a batch of Sebago Brewing Bonfire Rye Beer. The finished beer is run through our still and treated just like our American whiskey (Bourbon and Rye); distilled below 160 proof and aged in new charred American White Oak barrels below 125 proof.
The resulting spirit drinks like a whiskey but finishes with floral and citrus notes from the hops. This product is currently distilled and bottled just once a year, in the fall to coincide with the availability of Sebago’s beer, so be sure to get it while you can!
