🌟STAFF HIGHLIGHT PT.6 🌟 Meet Ian!

Position: Head Distiller
What we love about him: His depth of knowledge and dedication to his craft and his somewhat hidden talents in the theatre world ❤️‍🔥

Q: What do you enjoy most about working here?
A: The team here is great. I love coming to work with all the fun and knowledgeable folks we have. The best thing for me though is creating whiskey with locally sourced ingredients. I love being able to support our fellow Maine businesses!

Q: When you’re not at work, what do you enjoy doing?
A: In the summer I try to get out on my bike as much as possible. In the winter I snowboard and snowmobile. I love being out in nature.

Q: What is your go-to drink order here?
A: We have such a great selection of beer and cocktails here that I rarely get the same thing. I like to get whatever is newest on the menu.

Q: Name something you’ve learned working here that has stuck with you.
A: I learned how to distill here!

Q: If you could pick any superpower, what would it be and why?
A: Super strength. Our facility is small and everything needs to be moved around by hand. It keeps me in shape but Hulk strength would be super useful.

Q: Aside from Liquid Riot, what spot in Portland do you frequent the most?
A: I have a family and a full on farmstead at home so I really don’t get out very often. When I do hang out in Portland, I pretty much always end up at @novareresbiercafe at some point.

Q: What is your most overused word or phrase?
A: I’m a bit of an introvert so I honestly try to talk as little as possible!
