22 Jun 2022 The Best Summer Beers: Summer Adventures Made Better With Liquid Riot
What better way to celebrate the official first day of summer than with an ice cold beer. As of yesterday we entered the season of picnic days, beach chilling, pool sitting, and backyard grilling. Need ideas for your next summer adventures? Liquid Riot has you covered with fun activities and fantastic beer pairings to make an exciting day even better.
Boozy Beach Day
Everyone’s favorite summer activity, going to the beach. On a sunny summer day, there’s nothing better than sand in your toes and a Herbie in your hand. Herbie, our first tribute beer, is a crisp, hop-forward ale brewed with some of our favorite varieties, and it goes great with our lobster roll.
Disc Golf Day
There are several Disc Golf courses where you can drink your favorite summer beer and get a few rounds in. You might need a little Liquid Pride if you haven’t played before. It’s a Double IPA that’s hazy and fruity with mangoes and peaches, made with 100% Maine malt, dry hopped with Cryo Pop, Citra, Amarillo, and Idaho 7. Liquid Pride tastes even better with our locally sourced Farm Burger Sliders, just make sure there’s enough for everyone. (Available to-go here and for delivery here)
Boats and Brews
In Maine there are a multitude of charter boats where you are able to explore the coast of Maine while sipping on your favorite beer, and eating the best french fries in Portland. The best boating beer around is Nama, a Liquid Riot staple, and is a totally crushable, light, clean lager inspired by the 100% malt Japanese lagers.
Best Beer for Grilling and Chilling
Grilling: a classic summer pastime. Spending time with friends and family made better with Bobo Pivo, to be released on June 23rd, is a Czech-style Pils; simple, soft, balanced, and highly drinkable, made in collaboration with our friends at Novare Res Bier Café! This beer tastes great, but tastes even better with burgers and red snappers. And don’t forget your Liquid Riot hoodie! It may be warm this summer but it’ll still get cold when you’re out grilling in the evening!
