Fall Cocktails featuring: Old Port Bourbon
Maine Maple Old Fashioned

Classic Whiskey Cider
- 2 oz Old Port Bourbon
- 1 oz apple cider
- 1 oz sweet vermouth
- .5 oz lemon juice
- 1 dash orange bitters
- For the garnish: Apple slices, sprig of thyme
Combine the bourbon, cider, sweet vermouth and lemon juice in mixing glass and stir with ice. Strain it into cocktail glass. Add a dash of orange bitters and garnish with apple slices (if desired, spritz them with a little lemon juice to prevent browning).
Fall Cocktails featuring: Rum Riot Rum
Autumn Rum Old Fashioned
- 2 oz Rum Riot Rum
- 1 barspoon apple cider syrup*
- 3 dashes Angostura bitters
Add Rum Riot Rum, apple cider syrup and Angostura bitters into a mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled. Strain into an Old Fashioned glass. Express the oil of an orange twist over the drink, then drop the twist into the drink.
*Apple cider syrup: In a small saucepan set over medium heat, combine 1 cup apple cider and 2 cups brown sugar, stirring constantly to emulsify the sugar. Once the liquid reaches a boil, reduce the heat to a simmer, and continue to stir occasionally until the liquid reduces enough to coat the back of a spoon. Add a pinch of salt, stir, then remove the syrup from the heat, and allow to cool. Transfer the syrup to a Mason jar, and store for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
Maple Leaf
- 2 oz Rum Riot Rum
- .5 oz Maple Syrup
- 4 dashes Angostura bitters
- 2 dashes Apple Bitters
- Cinnamon, Ground
Stir ingredients over ice and pour in a rocks glass over a large ice cube. Scrape fresh cinnamon on top as garnish.
Fall cocktails featuring: Old Port Single Malt
Spiked Apple Cider
- ½ teaspoon cloves
- 3 star anise
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 8 cups apple cider
- 1 cup Old Port Single Malt
- For the garnish: star anise, cinnamon stick, orange slice
Heat spices over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fragrant. Turn the heat to low and pour in the apple cider and bring to below a simmer, just barely bubbling. Set a timer for 30 minutes and reduce to low heat (don’t let it simmer). Skim off any particulate that rises to the top of the pot using a fine mesh sieve or strainer. Pour in the Single Malt. Ladle into 8 mugs. If desired, garnish with star anise, cinnamon stick, or an orange slice.
Whiskey & Bubbles
- 1 oz Old Port Single Malt
- 3 oz champagne
- 3 dashes orange bitter
- cranberries
Add Old Port Single malt and champagne to a champagne flute and then drop in bitters and a handful of cranberries.
